WNY Regional TRAID Center

Services

The Western New York Regional TRAID Center serves consumers with disabilities, their caregivers and families, service professionals, and the general public by:

  • Providing information and referral services (1-800-628-2281) on assistive technology to WNY Regional TRAID customers
  • Maintaining assistive devices for demonstrations, enabling customers to inspect and evaluate a device's utility
  • Offering presentations and tours of our Center to promote public awareness and education of assistive technology
  • Disseminating information about available assistive technology devices and services
  • Supporting the Cornucopia Of Disability Information (CODI), which provides disability information in a wide variety of areas

In addition, TRAID and the Department of Health have implemented early intervention assistive technology lending libraries in Western New York. Five libraries, in the counties of Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming, exist to help families of infants and toddlers with disabilities select and borrow appropriate assistive technology devices.
