Design and Fabrication Services
Experience
DFS (formerly called the Fabrication Shop) has
served the Center for Assistive Technology and School of Public Health and
Health Professions since 1990.
Our client list has included the Rehabilitation Engineering Research
Center on Successful Aging, the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center
on Technology Transfer,
the Department of Rehabilitation Science, and other Departments throughout
the School of Public Health and Health Professions.
In August of 2000, DFS became an Independent Service Unit. This was a very exciting development! As an Independent Service Unit, DFS can now serve any client from within the State University of New York at Buffalo community as well as clients from the broader community outside of the University.
DFS employs Engineering Design Associate Mr. Jim Peron, who offers more than 25 years of experience in prototype development for industry, fabrication in metal and wood trades, general mechanics, and industrial maintenance and repair. Please take a moment to review the biographical sketch of Jim Peron.
